Blooming with happiness....

Hello, hi!  It feels like I've kind of disappeared lately!  I'm still here, just busy prepping for upcoming classes, and one really BIG project!  Our daughter just got engaged and the wedding is only 3 months away!  At the cottage by the lake!  It will be beautiful, but it will require a tailspin of a summer!  That's your heads up in case you start wondering where I've got to!

So I'm just popping on quickly today to share this card with you!  I have it posted on the Jane's Doodles blog as well and it's similar to my last JD's post, in that it uses just the flowers from the Smile stamp set.  I just can't get enough of those images!

I stamped a loose all-over design and then filled in the whole card panel with watercolor paint.  I love stamping and embossing with white embossing powder on occasion, for the light, airy feel it gives a card design.  I also love how, when you heat emboss outline stamps, and paint in them, the paint pools in sections and the pigment dries in varying intensity.  Love that!  The sentiment is from the Doodle Flowers stamp set and I did some stamp surgery to cut it in half to make it fit the way I wanted.  You can do that y'know.  No alarms will go off, and when you want it whole again, just mount it on your stamp pad pushed back together and no one will be the wiser!

Thanks for stopping by today!  I have a surprise coming for you very soon!  Maybe I'll be the only one who's thrilled by it, but I can't wait to show you!
