Hey, hi!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
It's my turn up on the blog at <a href="http://loveisinthedetails.ca/blog/2018/06/13/butterfly-wonderland/">Love is in the Details</a> and I have this layout there to share!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Last year when Kaisercraft released their line called <a href="https://www.kaisercraft.com.au/newsite/collections.php?col=223">Indigo Skies</a>, I could hardly wait to get my hands on it, and you've seen it used in a few cards and layouts since, but the subject of today's layout couldn't be more appropriate!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

In March when our sweet grandson came to visit Arizona for the first time, we were so excited to show him all kinds of wonderful, new things, knowing full well that we was too young to remember them and that we could show him the same wonderful, new things all over again the next time he visits! </div>

<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
One day we went to the Butterfly Wonderland exhibit. It's well named. Archie was completely mesmerized by this wonderland of brightly colored, flitting and fluttering things! And we were entertained just watching him! So it was perfect to use a strip of the bold, blue, butterfly paper along the bottom of the layout to help tell the story! I also kept a ticket to use as some ephemera for the same purpose. The edges of the original ticket were a gaudy shade of blue that drew the eye too much so I recolored it with an appropriate shade of Copic marker.</div>

Other supplies I used include: flower stickers by Dear Lizzy, flower and acetate die cuts including the Brave/Wild phrase from Heidi Swapp, wood/enamel buttons from Pink Fresh and Maggie Holmes, label die cuts from Snap and My Mind's Eye, alphabet stickers from Fancy Pants, a gold "adventure" rub on from the Jubilee collection by My Mind's Eye and an assortment of enamel dots and shapes from Fancy Pants, We R Memory Keepers and One Canoe Two.</div>

Hello, hi! It feels like I've kind of disappeared lately! I'm still here, just busy prepping for upcoming classes, and one really BIG project! Our daughter just got engaged and the wedding is only 3 months away! At the cottage by the lake! It will be beautiful, but it will require a tailspin of a summer! That's your heads up in case you start wondering where I've got to!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
So I'm just popping on quickly today to share this card with you! I have it posted on the <a href="http://janesdoodles.blogspot.com/">Jane's Doodles blog</a> as well and it's similar to <a href="http://thevelvetlemon.blogspot.com/2018/05/janes-doodles-wreath-card.html">my last JD's post</a>, in that it uses just the flowers from the <a href="http://www.janesdoodles.com/search.php?search_query=smile&x=0&y=0">Smile stamp set</a>. I just can't get enough of those images!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-StdTbJTPxs4/Wx7eAtFAiZI/AAAAAAAAOxE/-ziu1i3aDBIADLKWN09HNdae5NOZ3ewvQCLcBGAs/s1600/smile5.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1600" height="640" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-StdTbJTPxs4/Wx7eAtFAiZI/AAAAAAAAOxE/-ziu1i3aDBIADLKWN09HNdae5NOZ3ewvQCLcBGAs/s640/smile5.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I stamped a loose all-over design and then filled in the whole card panel with watercolor paint. I love stamping and embossing with white embossing powder on occasion, for the light, airy feel it gives a card design. I also love how, when you heat emboss outline stamps, and paint in them, the paint pools in sections and the pigment dries in varying intensity. Love that! The sentiment is from the <a href="http://www.janesdoodles.com/search.php?search_query=doodle+flowers&x=0&y=0">Doodle Flowers stamp set</a> and I did some stamp surgery to cut it in half to make it fit the way I wanted. You can do that y'know. No alarms will go off, and when you want it whole again, just mount it on your stamp pad pushed back together and no one will be the wiser!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Thanks for stopping by today! I have a surprise coming for you very soon! Maybe I'll be the only one who's thrilled by it, but I can't wait to show you!</div>

...I think that's something we can agree on, yes? Hi friends, I'm back today with a traveler's notebook layout to share! Back when I began to use these Dylusions Traveler's Notebooks, I removed the thread from the spines and put the various pages back together so that each book was a mix of lined paper, dotted paper and graph paper. I used heavy duty thread and a long darning needle to resew each of the books, going in and out of the same machine pierced holes from the original notebook. <a href="http://thevelvetlemon.blogspot.com/2018/04/no-one-was-stressed.html">You can read more about that process here</a>.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-b_7SyEoPpyY/WxeDx09k_bI/AAAAAAAAOvY/1jfZwX8WemcEWz0uKkD5mGPMvvDE_M0ngCLcBGAs/s1600/babies2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="850" data-original-width="850" height="640" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-b_7SyEoPpyY/WxeDx09k_bI/AAAAAAAAOvY/1jfZwX8WemcEWz0uKkD5mGPMvvDE_M0ngCLcBGAs/s640/babies2.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I also planned that one of these re-tooled notebooks would be dedicated to layouts about my grandchildren, another for miscellaneous photos, feelings and events, and the third for, I haven't yet decided. ;-D</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-_og5ZxTsaLA/WxeDzRX1XCI/AAAAAAAAOvc/LOySMFSt5eAQaAj3T9hDydyCN6DJMGZPgCLcBGAs/s1600/babies3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="850" data-original-width="850" height="640" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-_og5ZxTsaLA/WxeDzRX1XCI/AAAAAAAAOvc/LOySMFSt5eAQaAj3T9hDydyCN6DJMGZPgCLcBGAs/s640/babies3.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Today's layout is in the "miscellaneous" notebook and is inspired by the hummingbirds that returned again this year to build a nest in the tree right outside our back door. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-eCYoSwIOJEg/WxeD06wuEAI/AAAAAAAAOvg/ebgXJKhRdKM-UM9Hi_FUHt8AdXrDeLRuQCLcBGAs/s1600/babies4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="850" data-original-width="850" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-eCYoSwIOJEg/WxeD06wuEAI/AAAAAAAAOvg/ebgXJKhRdKM-UM9Hi_FUHt8AdXrDeLRuQCLcBGAs/s640/babies4.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
To create the title, I stamped with the <a href="https://www.scrapbook.com/store/ch-th93578.html">Tim Holtz/Ideology foam alphabet stamps</a> and <a href="https://altenew.com/products/moss-crisp-dye-ink">Altenew ink in Moss</a>. I wanted an uneven roughness to the letters, so I blotchily stamped off once onto scratch paper and then fully onto the notebook paper. Then I added a "grow" sticker from <a href="https://www.simplestories.com/products/Bloom-%26-Grow">Simple Stories Bloom & Grow</a> line, and the mini-alpha stickers from the <a href="https://www.pinkfreshstudio.com/pages/boys-fort">Pink Fresh, Boy's Fort line</a>. The phrase sticker and the round wooden phrase embellishment are from that product line as well. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-L1lb1w2ivXo/WxeD3xzyg8I/AAAAAAAAOvk/lLR1-WsLUP0vW1zddu2Xsm2Y-1vr5gxwQCLcBGAs/s1600/babies5.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="850" data-original-width="850" height="640" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-L1lb1w2ivXo/WxeD3xzyg8I/AAAAAAAAOvk/lLR1-WsLUP0vW1zddu2Xsm2Y-1vr5gxwQCLcBGAs/s640/babies5.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I'm not sure what it is about these smaller formats that invite me to journal more, but I laid down a <b><i>bunch</i></b> of thoughts about this nest and it's occupants! Then I added a couple of strips of Washi tape (Michaels and American Crafts), a Silhouette cut cardstock leaf, some enamel dots and an enamel heart (from Illustrated Faith) to complete the page. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-5TYQUvalY-s/WxeD4hfM5VI/AAAAAAAAOvo/DD9BZFo36MMlRXHqPBVLCPh-Q1Qe6ytNQCLcBGAs/s1600/babies6.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="850" data-original-width="850" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-5TYQUvalY-s/WxeD4hfM5VI/AAAAAAAAOvo/DD9BZFo36MMlRXHqPBVLCPh-Q1Qe6ytNQCLcBGAs/s640/babies6.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This traveler's notebook page is also posted at <a href="http://loveisinthedetails.ca/blog/2018/06/06/mamas-dont-let-your-babies-grow-up/">Love is in the Details</a>. Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day! </div>

Hi, hello!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
It's my turn on the <a href="http://janesdoodles.blogspot.com/">Jane's Doodles blog</a> today and I have this card to share!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-SSYv-hSdaD8/Ww8AciWgmvI/AAAAAAAAOuU/M6iECdoiV4Mbf4vLm5OVe2lX6lt9k-4CQCLcBGAs/s1600/smile3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1600" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-SSYv-hSdaD8/Ww8AciWgmvI/AAAAAAAAOuU/M6iECdoiV4Mbf4vLm5OVe2lX6lt9k-4CQCLcBGAs/s640/smile3.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This is not a card you'd look at and think right away, oh, I know this stamp set! <a href="http://www.janesdoodles.com/smile/">It's a set called Smile</a>, and it features a crocodile, a macaw, a frog, a snake, a waterlily, cattails, AND two flowers and two leaves stamps - all drawn in the cute Jane's Doodles style! So I created this card just using the flowers and leaves.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-fJH8ep7fObY/Ww8Ae0dvWRI/AAAAAAAAOuY/7fItvDPDzh8pRxUo7eWpec0oLiWdOai1QCLcBGAs/s1600/smile4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1600" height="640" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-fJH8ep7fObY/Ww8Ae0dvWRI/AAAAAAAAOuY/7fItvDPDzh8pRxUo7eWpec0oLiWdOai1QCLcBGAs/s640/smile4.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I started by tracing the outline of a circle onto my watercolor paper, stamping the 4 images several times on masking paper and cutting those out to help me build the wreath shape and then to mask with when I started stamping. I used watercolor-friendly Versafine Onyx Black ink to stamp with, and then painted in the images and the background with watercolor paints. The sentiment is from the <a href="http://www.janesdoodles.com/bless-your-heart/">Bless Your Heart stamp set</a>. To finish, I squeezed Tonic Nuvo drops onto the flower centers.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Thanks for stopping by an have a wonderful day!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Hello friends! I'm up on the <a href="http://loveisinthedetails.ca/blog/2018/05/30/mr-mrs/">Love is in the Details blog</a> today and I've got a layout to share!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>

<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-5Pq6pQpuF-U/Ww7fSA8GzwI/AAAAAAAAOtQ/yS-fe9gXfn8Axfg5-Q6Fh2zEdWbxXFJ-ACLcBGAs/s1600/Mr%2526Mrs1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="852" data-original-width="850" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-5Pq6pQpuF-U/Ww7fSA8GzwI/AAAAAAAAOtQ/yS-fe9gXfn8Axfg5-Q6Fh2zEdWbxXFJ-ACLcBGAs/s640/Mr%2526Mrs1.jpg" width="638" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Last week we revealed a new set of Wedding Words that I designed for <a href="http://www.loveisinthedetails.ca/scrapbookingcanada/index.php?cPath=557&osCsid=52cac8c888e1967e3ef3e64816467a65">Love is in the Details</a>, and while the chipboard and wedding photos were out, I just had to make another layout, even though this wedding was almost 5 years ago!</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Another of the features of this layout that I wanted to share was the simple trick of elevating a basic die cut such as the butterfly above, from "meh..." to "wow!" by covering it with <a href="https://rangerink.com/?product=inkssentials%E2%84%A2-glossy-accents%E2%84%A2">Glossy Accents</a> to replicate an epoxy embellishment. So easy to do and such a fun result!</div>
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-h91UBEeQP3g/Ww7fV8JF_FI/AAAAAAAAOtY/6h3Z1z0kbvseqQgRVO_2YgOhOJyoY91QgCLcBGAs/s1600/Mr%2526Mrs3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="850" data-original-width="850" height="640" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-h91UBEeQP3g/Ww7fV8JF_FI/AAAAAAAAOtY/6h3Z1z0kbvseqQgRVO_2YgOhOJyoY91QgCLcBGAs/s640/Mr%2526Mrs3.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I've been de-stashing again lately, and in the process, unearthed my bottles of <a href="https://www.clearsnap.com/smooch-bottle">Smooch Pearlized Accent Ink</a> and decided to use the navy blue one to paint the kraft chipboard Mr&Mrs piece. It's hard to tell in the photo, but in real life it has a lovely soft sheen.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-VmnsjcvIo60/Ww7hCs-m2ZI/AAAAAAAAOt4/FB4RR3J2sb8orif2ZFcW49gnp9ouZW9hQCLcBGAs/s1600/Mr%2526Mrs5.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="850" data-original-width="850" height="640" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-VmnsjcvIo60/Ww7hCs-m2ZI/AAAAAAAAOt4/FB4RR3J2sb8orif2ZFcW49gnp9ouZW9hQCLcBGAs/s640/Mr%2526Mrs5.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I can hardly believe how quickly the last 5 years have gone, but as we're awaiting baby #2 any week now, we're so glad to see where those 5 years have brought them!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!</div>

Hi friends, I'm back today with a card AND a layout! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-jc88npfUxZM/WwWAtCVGsAI/AAAAAAAAOqo/7NSvuBvIolgZ70SzFOy21H5M25lveS0SgCLcBGAs/s1600/chip8.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="850" data-original-width="850" height="640" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-jc88npfUxZM/WwWAtCVGsAI/AAAAAAAAOqo/7NSvuBvIolgZ70SzFOy21H5M25lveS0SgCLcBGAs/s640/chip8.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The best of both worlds as far as I'm concerned! I'm also up on the <a href="http://loveisinthedetails.ca/blog/2018/05/23/goin-to-the-chapel/">Love is in the Details blog</a> where I'm showcasing a new release of my laser cut chipboard designs, called Wedding Words. They will be in the store later this week and will be available in a variety of sizes suitable for card sentiments, layout titles and even home decor pieces.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Here is an image of the selection of words and phrases.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-xssaXBK4O_s/WwWAkxjB5YI/AAAAAAAAOqU/MzQEcTfH6Q4yTxg9qSORtHs5ISbl58n5wCLcBGAs/s1600/chip3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="850" data-original-width="850" height="640" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-xssaXBK4O_s/WwWAkxjB5YI/AAAAAAAAOqU/MzQEcTfH6Q4yTxg9qSORtHs5ISbl58n5wCLcBGAs/s640/chip3.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
First up is a card that uses the Best Wishes sentiment. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Tvoa9kUV5ic/WwWAtraVmSI/AAAAAAAAOqs/CQrwsyyHzd0uoZ2EOOce7wf1wOSs-poAQCLcBGAs/s1600/chip9.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="850" data-original-width="850" height="640" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Tvoa9kUV5ic/WwWAtraVmSI/AAAAAAAAOqs/CQrwsyyHzd0uoZ2EOOce7wf1wOSs-poAQCLcBGAs/s640/chip9.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I painted it with white spray paint and layered it over vellum and some of that gorgeous paper from the Kaisercraft Indigo Skies line. I added a piece of ribbon (when's the last time I ever did that??) and some pearls to create this simple but elegant card.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-bLExYQMRx7g/WwWAjNLb_jI/AAAAAAAAOqQ/P_DhoqV1bxcWtJL4t-5Hfu2vxKT5NnM3ACLcBGAs/s1600/chip10.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="850" data-original-width="850" height="640" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-bLExYQMRx7g/WwWAjNLb_jI/AAAAAAAAOqQ/P_DhoqV1bxcWtJL4t-5Hfu2vxKT5NnM3ACLcBGAs/s640/chip10.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I also made a scrapbook layout using one of the card sentiments for the title.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-kQL9IVXFHJM/WwWAmIU84bI/AAAAAAAAOqY/S4IwcXeO_sMUgR0aL-EMpspHHN62N0AYwCLcBGAs/s1600/chip4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="850" data-original-width="850" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-kQL9IVXFHJM/WwWAmIU84bI/AAAAAAAAOqY/S4IwcXeO_sMUgR0aL-EMpspHHN62N0AYwCLcBGAs/s640/chip4.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I left the chipboard plain and unadorned this time and just layered it overtop of a grouping of bits and pieces that I dug out of my thought-I-would-use-it-once-then-changed-my-mind-leftovers-dish. Laying there all in a jumble they might look a bit random, but I love how they coordinate here so calmly and quietly!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-x3jEXhuNA0E/WwWAi4qH9KI/AAAAAAAAOqI/HHmwfziVV2sPdrzqD-IZHx3rcKZBOLBywCLcBGAs/s1600/chip12.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="850" data-original-width="850" height="640" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-x3jEXhuNA0E/WwWAi4qH9KI/AAAAAAAAOqI/HHmwfziVV2sPdrzqD-IZHx3rcKZBOLBywCLcBGAs/s640/chip12.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Oi0Qt4RPUJk/WwWAq4FnL3I/AAAAAAAAOqg/jbEo0AaJlAMnLGkkfFpCB0QOqhgEHflZACLcBGAs/s1600/chip7.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="850" data-original-width="850" height="640" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Oi0Qt4RPUJk/WwWAq4FnL3I/AAAAAAAAOqg/jbEo0AaJlAMnLGkkfFpCB0QOqhgEHflZACLcBGAs/s640/chip7.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I combined another random grouping of embellishments along side the photo.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-6o_9mMA3GiI/WwWAfBqPxUI/AAAAAAAAOqE/SZ443aAlrPMULTLt7Y8HYQcJd83b61yUwCLcBGAs/s1600/chip11.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="850" data-original-width="850" height="640" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-6o_9mMA3GiI/WwWAfBqPxUI/AAAAAAAAOqE/SZ443aAlrPMULTLt7Y8HYQcJd83b61yUwCLcBGAs/s640/chip11.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
To create balance between the larger b&w photo on the right, I printed the smaller photo in color, and framed it with a gold foil chipboard frame from a <a href="https://www.shopbeckyhiggins.com/products/golden-instax-chipboard-frames">Becky Higgins Project Life kit</a> and added a gold sparkle paper bow from Maggie Holmes and Crate Paper.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Hello, hi! I'm up on the <a href="http://janesdoodles.blogspot.com.au/2018/05/berry-special.html">Jane's Doodle blog</a> today with this yummy fruit salad of a card!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-TPuOtLI7uXg/WwL-HBL5FRI/AAAAAAAAOpk/ye0SWFL0GIw35Ozx0YrOf438FNYPtQCbQCLcBGAs/s1600/berry1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1600" height="640" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-TPuOtLI7uXg/WwL-HBL5FRI/AAAAAAAAOpk/ye0SWFL0GIw35Ozx0YrOf438FNYPtQCbQCLcBGAs/s640/berry1.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
It involved a LOT of masking but if you're anything like me, then I don't need to explain how mind-numbingly entertaining that is! Then I colored them all up with Zig Real Brush markers and a water brush. Once I had a pile of fruit, I fussy cut around the fruit, used the paper trimmer for the top and sides, rounded the corners with a Crop-o-Dile and drew a double wobble-line around the top and sides. Then I a punny sentiment to top it off! The colored panel is then popped off the gingham background with foam tape.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-00pu7LIdzvE/WwL9-TAVVhI/AAAAAAAAOpg/d8yExu-oTZkaPsiAlKRbcVHGrVS5BjHBwCLcBGAs/s1600/berry2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1600" height="640" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-00pu7LIdzvE/WwL9-TAVVhI/AAAAAAAAOpg/d8yExu-oTZkaPsiAlKRbcVHGrVS5BjHBwCLcBGAs/s640/berry2.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I used the <a href="http://www.janesdoodles.com/life-is-good-stamp-set/">Life is Good</a> stamp set for all the fruit, the <a href="http://www.janesdoodles.com/abcs/">ABC's</a> set for the word BERRY, and the <a href="https://mamaelephant.com/products/bella-letters">Mama Elephant Bella Letters</a> for the rest of the sentiment.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Have a wonderful day!</div>

Hello, hi!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I'm here today with my last guest post for <a href="https://www.magentastyle.ca/store/">Magenta Style</a> and I have a video to share to close out the series!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-g_cZQh8NWCM/Wvc-DdlaPqI/AAAAAAAAOlY/3uqNPqtuECIk-9Ac2r1yFH7dJSrDIg5LwCLcBGAs/s1600/magvid1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1600" height="640" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-g_cZQh8NWCM/Wvc-DdlaPqI/AAAAAAAAOlY/3uqNPqtuECIk-9Ac2r1yFH7dJSrDIg5LwCLcBGAs/s640/magvid1.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I made this card by stamping in a background of foliage stamps (<a href="https://www.magentastyle.ca/store/product_info.php?products_id=8454&osCsid=tkrk45a9qilj2td9masetm10u4">Foliage</a> and <a href="https://www.magentastyle.ca/store/product_info.php?products_id=16213&osCsid=tkrk45a9qilj2td9masetm10u4">Doodle Branch</a>) in several muted shades of green, blue, brown and grey, and stamped the <a href="https://www.magentastyle.ca/store/product_info.php?products_id=16385&osCsid=tkrk45a9qilj2td9masetm10u4">Apple Blossom Bouquet stamp</a> set on a separate piece of watercolor paper, so that I could fussy cut it out and paint it. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-GTypBZu0T6Y/Wvc-LmLhHZI/AAAAAAAAOlg/7sNO9Ym_tqUFUMNiEB6IyBaFvKI4QTuuwCLcBGAs/s1600/magvid2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1600" height="640" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-GTypBZu0T6Y/Wvc-LmLhHZI/AAAAAAAAOlg/7sNO9Ym_tqUFUMNiEB6IyBaFvKI4QTuuwCLcBGAs/s640/magvid2.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The sentiment is made by stamping the <a href="https://www.magentastyle.ca/store/product_info.php?products_id=13882&osCsid=tkrk45a9qilj2td9masetm10u4">Thinking of You stamp</a> onto watercolor paper, inking and stamping several times for good solid coverage, and then heat embossing with clear embossing powder.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-gGcV7Bn6jss/Wvc-I-PdnaI/AAAAAAAAOlc/H-Oe821f_wULODfz6mSRfh9mX6FHgOALQCLcBGAs/s1600/magvid3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1600" height="640" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-gGcV7Bn6jss/Wvc-I-PdnaI/AAAAAAAAOlc/H-Oe821f_wULODfz6mSRfh9mX6FHgOALQCLcBGAs/s640/magvid3.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The fussy cut flowers and leaves are popped up on foam adhesive and the extra leaves in the back ground are also fussy cut and painted and then adhered flush to the card panel. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
To create these cards, I stamped with the trailing floral branch stamp, onto two pieces of watercolor paper. For the first card, I stamped with <a href="http://butterflyreflectionsink.3dcartstores.com/Distress-Oxide-Ink-Pad-Antique-Linen_p_12469.html">Ranger Distress Ink in the Antique Linen</a> color, so that when I painted the image, the ink would blend into the paint and look more like a true watercolor painting.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-mUMI7vBPRGI/WunqvG25RtI/AAAAAAAAOe0/fCrREt2S-dwcSoKbjWfCz2MkHwOjR0iNgCLcBGAs/s1600/WFC-20180513-BouquetBuildercards-Norine-2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1024" data-original-width="1024" height="640" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-mUMI7vBPRGI/WunqvG25RtI/AAAAAAAAOe0/fCrREt2S-dwcSoKbjWfCz2MkHwOjR0iNgCLcBGAs/s640/WFC-20180513-BouquetBuildercards-Norine-2.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I used the same colors of mixed paints to daub on a wash of background color after the leaves and flowers were dry. Then I used my Copic Multiliner pens to add back a general sense of leaf, branch and petal outlines along with some extra tendrils. And finally I splattered on more of the paint I'd used for the painting. I stamped the greeting using a combination of word stamps from the <a href="https://waffleflower.com/collections/stamps/products/lotus-stamp-set?variant=40233068039">Waffle Flower Lotus stamp set</a>.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-9PadMShiQXw/WunqwE9HqkI/AAAAAAAAOe4/Ud-bBRsEDtUMTzP44sIfqQz9gxf5KBrNgCLcBGAs/s1600/WFC-20180513-BouquetBuildercards-Norine-3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1024" data-original-width="1024" height="640" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-9PadMShiQXw/WunqwE9HqkI/AAAAAAAAOe4/Ud-bBRsEDtUMTzP44sIfqQz9gxf5KBrNgCLcBGAs/s640/WFC-20180513-BouquetBuildercards-Norine-3.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
For the second card, I stamped with Versafine Onyx Black ink, using the same cascading branch stamp plus more leaves and bloom stamps.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-FD_NkD7uI8M/WunqwCkeniI/AAAAAAAAOe8/7fhqEVwjU7AZoycbw6nKeH-OmwoLpU2uACLcBGAs/s1600/WFC-20180513-BouquetBuildercards-Norine-4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1024" data-original-width="1024" height="640" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-FD_NkD7uI8M/WunqwCkeniI/AAAAAAAAOe8/7fhqEVwjU7AZoycbw6nKeH-OmwoLpU2uACLcBGAs/s640/WFC-20180513-BouquetBuildercards-Norine-4.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I painted both the card panel and the extra flowers and leaves with the same palette of colors I used on the card above, and once again, added a soft background wash and more paint splatters with the same colors. Then I die cut the leaves and flowers, and after gently creasing and massaging each petal and leaf, adhered them to each other and then to the card front. The Birthday greeting is also from the <a href="https://waffleflower.com/collections/stamps/products/lotus-stamp-set?variant=40233068039">Waffle Flower Lotus stamp set</a>. Both cards are completed with an assortment of coordinating colored enamel dots on the flower centers and the background.</div>

Hey, hello friends!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I'm back today with the last installment in this week's Spellbinder's Guest Blogger posts with the <a href="https://www.spellbinderspaperarts.com/search.php?search_query=debi+adams+perfect+match">Debi Adams Perfect Match Collection</a>. Today's cards feature the stamp and die set called <a href="https://www.spellbinderspaperarts.com/friends-of-a-feather-stamp-and-die-set-the-perfect-match-by-debi-adams/">Friends of a Feather from the Debi Adams Perfect Match Collection from Spellbinders</a>.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-GFO2AUEdLdg/WuCwsCBznbI/AAAAAAAAOaY/bs8wDal1r9A0NNK9NcAPzr-XaElHX9vngCLcBGAs/s1600/spellbinders-norine-borys-feather-1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1250" data-original-width="1250" height="640" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-GFO2AUEdLdg/WuCwsCBznbI/AAAAAAAAOaY/bs8wDal1r9A0NNK9NcAPzr-XaElHX9vngCLcBGAs/s640/spellbinders-norine-borys-feather-1.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I think these images and sentiments make perfect encouragement and affection cards, with their cute and simple line drawings and amusing puns!</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Zwc1ZjmbCx8/WuCwsOKBp5I/AAAAAAAAOaU/LraceLBIsXQ_FNtYFn7gKjbAYmZfoxSlQCLcBGAs/s1600/spellbinders-norine-borys-feather-2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1250" data-original-width="1250" height="640" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Zwc1ZjmbCx8/WuCwsOKBp5I/AAAAAAAAOaU/LraceLBIsXQ_FNtYFn7gKjbAYmZfoxSlQCLcBGAs/s640/spellbinders-norine-borys-feather-2.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I began creating both of today's cards by die cutting a circle and a square from Eclipse masking paper. For this card, I placed the circle part of the mask, the positive portion onto the card panel where I wanted the design to be left unstamped. Then I used the two small leaf stamps in the set to fill in the surrounding background by stamping with <a href="https://www.simonsaysstamp.com/product/Simon-Says-Stamp-Premium-Ink-Pad-INTENSE-BLACK-ink065">Simon Says Intense black ink</a>, which is Copic-friendly. I colored all the leaves with Copic markers but left the background white. Next, I die cut a circle frame from kraft cardstock with two of the nesting dies from the <a href="https://www.spellbinderspaperarts.com/nestabilities-standard-circles-sm-etched-dies/">Spellbinders Nestabilities Standard Circles Small dies</a>. I drew a stitched line around the frame with a Copic Multiliner pen. Then I stamped the Toucan and an assortment of hearts onto Neenah Solar White cardstock and colored those with Copic markers, and finally die cutting them. I also die cut the same shapes from some white fun foam in order to pop up the colored images onto the card panel. I trimmed the panel 1/8" narrower on each side than an A2 sized card and adhered it to a card base.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-EFvyFxBbYbc/WuCwrwSl5QI/AAAAAAAAOaQ/OVnDojcBMKYg-QeKbWoxKp0TxZjzR3sZACLcBGAs/s1600/spellbinders-norine-borys-feather-3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1250" data-original-width="1250" height="640" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-EFvyFxBbYbc/WuCwrwSl5QI/AAAAAAAAOaQ/OVnDojcBMKYg-QeKbWoxKp0TxZjzR3sZACLcBGAs/s640/spellbinders-norine-borys-feather-3.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
For the sentiment, I stamped with <a href="http://www.tsukineko.co.jp/english/detail/versamark/index.html">Versamark ink</a> on black card stock and heat embossed with white embossing powder before cutting it into a banner and adhering it to the card front.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-mHC0ijARgGU/WuCwvD8DbcI/AAAAAAAAOac/g3ug7RT_7-4RZLNFGfRZXkzigHiB6X8KACLcBGAs/s1600/spellbinders-norine-borys-feather-4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1250" data-original-width="1250" height="640" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-mHC0ijARgGU/WuCwvD8DbcI/AAAAAAAAOac/g3ug7RT_7-4RZLNFGfRZXkzigHiB6X8KACLcBGAs/s640/spellbinders-norine-borys-feather-4.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
For this card, I placed the positive masked paper square onto the card where I wanted the colored portion to be, then placed the outside, negative portion down around it. I did it this way, because I found that positioning the outside/negative part of the mask was difficult to eyeball accurately to be centered and straight. Then I removed the center portion and filled it with the same little leaf stamps that I used on the card above. I colored the leaves and the background with Copic markers and before removing the masking paper, I used the edges to draw a line around the square with a Copic Multiliner pen.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/--vt_kEWCDz0/WuCwv5yv8sI/AAAAAAAAOak/l9GeodXge8sb9uaYmxl-npaRTinVEWZ0wCLcBGAs/s1600/spellbinders-norine-borys-feather-5.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1250" data-original-width="1250" height="640" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/--vt_kEWCDz0/WuCwv5yv8sI/AAAAAAAAOak/l9GeodXge8sb9uaYmxl-npaRTinVEWZ0wCLcBGAs/s640/spellbinders-norine-borys-feather-5.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Next, I positioned and stamped the two sentiments, one at a time, using the Copic-friendly <a href="https://www.simonsaysstamp.com/product/Simon-Says-Stamp-Premium-Ink-Pad-INTENSE-BLACK-ink065">Simon Says Intense black ink</a>. I then stamped the Toucan again, with a few more heart images, colored them with Copics and die cut them along with a few fun foam shapes to layer with them. I glued all the hearts and the Toucan to the card front and then adhered that to a card base. Pretty CAS with a little pop of color!</div>

I want to thank <a href="https://www.spellbinderspaperarts.com/">Spellbinders</a> again for their generosity with product and their kindness in inviting me to create and share their products here with you! It's been a pleasure working with these stamps and dies, and I have several more that I didn't have time to use and show you, but watch for those sometime in future.</div>

Hi everyone! I'm back again with another post from my guest blogger gig over at <a href="https://www.spellbinderspaperarts.com/">Spellbinders</a> last week! Today I have some cards to share that I made with the <a href="https://www.spellbinderspaperarts.com/getting-all-mushy-stamp-and-die-set-the-perfect-match-by-debi-adams/">Debi Adams Perfect Match Getting All Mushy stamp and die set</a>! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Have I told you my mushroom story? So, years ago, when we still spent our summers in our tear-down of a cottage, with it's added on bit here, and long-ago-patched-up bit there, we had one VERY rainy summer. We get our share of rain every summer, but this one year was so rainy that the level of the lake rose about 8"! And with a roof that leaked as freely as ours did, we actually had a patch of mushrooms growing INSIDE the sun porch! Or, was it the rain porch?! True story. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-CTU3ulVWuzc/WuALIQbSiQI/AAAAAAAAOZ4/ibqTpsDU_7w2Kj4roo8IKvYKl5cAwKG5ACEwYBhgL/s1600/spellbinders-norine-borys-mushy-8.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1250" data-original-width="1250" height="640" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-CTU3ulVWuzc/WuALIQbSiQI/AAAAAAAAOZ4/ibqTpsDU_7w2Kj4roo8IKvYKl5cAwKG5ACEwYBhgL/s640/spellbinders-norine-borys-mushy-8.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Once again, I had a lot of fun stamping, coloring and creating these cards. The combination of the simple hand-drawn designs with the cute and clever puns produces cards that are charming and silly and will bring a smile to the face of any recipient!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This card was created by stamping the images onto watercolor paper with Versafine Onyx Black ink, coloring them with <a href="http://www.fabercastell.com/art-and-graphic/artist-products/albrecht-duerer-artists-watercolour-pencils">Faber Castell watercolor pencils</a> and painting them with a water brush then die cutting them with the coordinating dies. I stamped the sentiment onto more watercolor paper and cut it to make a fish-tail banner. I wanted to layer the sentiment over top of the mushrooms without hiding too much of them underneath the banner, so I cut the stems and "grew" them taller by tucking the tops and bottom pieces in under the banner.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This next card got the rainbow treatment! And why not, after all? If red polka-dotted mushrooms are a real life thing, then maybe blue and green ones exist somewhere too?? After coloring and die cutting these images, I adhered them in a row along the bottom of the card panel, with some hearts floating off into the air, and a pen-stitched line drawn along the bottom to anchor the mushrooms. I added the stamped sentiment along the bottom and let that be enough.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The last card is a miniature scene created by stamping the mushrooms on masking paper, and masking them off so that the tall mushroom could tuck in behind the big red one and so that after they were all colored (in more traditional mushroom colors) they could all be masked and Ranger Distress Oxide ink could be blended in the background. I added a line of grass with a Copic Multiliner pen to "ground" the images and create a separation between the images and the sentiment. I spritzed water droplets on the blended background and daubed them off with paper towel to create the lighter colored splotches. Finally, I cut two thin strips of grey cardstock and adhered them over two corners to give the appearance of photo holders.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I had so much fun with this stamp set and look forward to sharing these cards with others! But wait! There's more! Hello friends, today is a two post blog day, so if you've missed the other one, just click on the blog header to see them all. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I'm sure you'd agree that memory keeping comes in all different formats, so you might not be surprised by the form it takes today in this blog post!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
For many years, Mr B has been attending an air show in Florida, called <a href="https://www.flysnf.org/sun-n-fun-intl-fly-expo/">Sun 'n' Fun</a>, where he ogles all the airplanes and buys the t-shirts. Then he brings them home (the t-shirts) to safely hoard in his closet. His reasoning is, besides the graphics that just make you happy looking at them, they are a reminder of the years he's attended and the fun he had there. So I decided to get them out where they could be remembered and enjoyed everyday. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-cwBo3kpkvM8/WvMdz0kCMXI/AAAAAAAAOiA/-tVrVR6j_1wFwyUpxZnh3_1fIHHYQP4PwCLcBGAs/s1600/souv1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="850" data-original-width="850" height="640" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-cwBo3kpkvM8/WvMdz0kCMXI/AAAAAAAAOiA/-tVrVR6j_1wFwyUpxZnh3_1fIHHYQP4PwCLcBGAs/s640/souv1.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
All I did was cut the front of the t-shirt from the back, wrap it around a stretched canvas and staple it on the back being careful to keep it centered and the words straight.</div>
<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Shortly, these will all adorn Mr B's little airplane hangar, but for now they are hanging in his home office.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
Hello friends! I'm up on the <a href="http://janesdoodles.blogspot.com.au/2018/05/homemade.html">Jane's Doodles blog</a> today with some homemade food gift tag ideas! You may remember when we first featured the Homemade stamp set last week during the <a href="http://janesdoodles.blogspot.com.au/2018/04/janes-doodles-stamps-giveaway-25-off.html">Jane's Doodles blog hop. </a><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-aRjBpOvOcU0/WvMRAJny_AI/AAAAAAAAOg0/ai_yUPTLyyU1V19fFEN7crKrev1Zg5YLACLcBGAs/s1600/jam2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1600" height="640" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-aRjBpOvOcU0/WvMRAJny_AI/AAAAAAAAOg0/ai_yUPTLyyU1V19fFEN7crKrev1Zg5YLACLcBGAs/s640/jam2.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
You might also remember that we have a happy, flourishing lemon tree in our yard. And I love anything lemon, so I use every last lemon on the tree! I make a lot of lemon curd because it's such a nice hostess gift to take when we're invited somewhere. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-tz6Z7E3CTzw/WvMREkOjvYI/AAAAAAAAOg4/xE5TfFPFr3gZ1iZPKGWNHNob_WDTnQ3VwCLcBGAs/s1600/jam3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1600" height="400" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-tz6Z7E3CTzw/WvMREkOjvYI/AAAAAAAAOg4/xE5TfFPFr3gZ1iZPKGWNHNob_WDTnQ3VwCLcBGAs/s400/jam3.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
So I combined the two stamp sets, <a href="http://www.janesdoodles.com/homemade/">Homemade</a>, along with the <a href="http://www.janesdoodles.com/search.php?search_query=life+is+good&x=0&y=0">Life is Good</a> set to come up with these tags. Each of the tags in this top set is stamped on watercolor paper and colored with <a href="http://www.fabercastell.com/products/coloured-pencil/WatercolorpencilAlbrechtD%C3%BCrertinof60/117560">watercolor pencils</a> before painting.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-gvMeL4L2TOo/WvMRNwBbq0I/AAAAAAAAOhA/-_CXGaaNZlQWs8-P_Iz08qGf6JctdR46QCLcBGAs/s1600/jam4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1600" height="400" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-gvMeL4L2TOo/WvMRNwBbq0I/AAAAAAAAOhA/-_CXGaaNZlQWs8-P_Iz08qGf6JctdR46QCLcBGAs/s400/jam4.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Then, for a slightly different look, I stamped more of the berries from the <a href="http://www.janesdoodles.com/search.php?search_query=life+is+good&x=0&y=0">Life is Good</a> set with the sentiments from the <a href="http://www.janesdoodles.com/homemade/">Homemade</a> set onto kraft card stock, then heat embossed with white embossing powder.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-S50craGhO2o/WvMRHn0K25I/AAAAAAAAOg8/CV7UKuFk-kM3Dr4P7Ghq21vs8s5TufeuACLcBGAs/s1600/jam5.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1600" height="640" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-S50craGhO2o/WvMRHn0K25I/AAAAAAAAOg8/CV7UKuFk-kM3Dr4P7Ghq21vs8s5TufeuACLcBGAs/s640/jam5.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-BuGfkZx5GWs/WvMRX6mvR9I/AAAAAAAAOhY/0-tYMHWZbzQQlWAYJ6x3NsqVLRiB5DJ9gCLcBGAs/s1600/jam7.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1600" height="400" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-BuGfkZx5GWs/WvMRX6mvR9I/AAAAAAAAOhY/0-tYMHWZbzQQlWAYJ6x3NsqVLRiB5DJ9gCLcBGAs/s400/jam7.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I punched the tag shapes with a Marvy Uchida paper punch and used the <a href="http://www.fabercastell.com/products/coloured-pencil/WatercolorpencilAlbrechtD%C3%BCrertinof60/117560">watercolor pencils</a> again to color the berries and I was pleased with how well they covered the kraft. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>

Hi, hello! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Ohmygoodness you guys. How do you feel about puns? If you love them as much as I do, you'll enjoy the ones that are coming! When <a href="https://www.spellbinderspaperarts.com/">Spellbinders</a> contacted me a few weeks back about creating some cards using the new <a href="https://www.spellbinderspaperarts.com/search.php?search_query=perfect+match">Debi Adams Perfect Match release</a>, I took one look and said, oh heck, yes!! I adore the simple drawing designs and the cute, fun and punny sentiments that accompany each set!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-SxPSOz5SNYY/Wt7K-NNDomI/AAAAAAAAOXI/jEJ159Hr8gQ1SpMLaZwfQMveV7BDRM3OgCLcBGAs/s1600/spellbinders-norine-borys-pretzelcards-1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1200" height="640" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-SxPSOz5SNYY/Wt7K-NNDomI/AAAAAAAAOXI/jEJ159Hr8gQ1SpMLaZwfQMveV7BDRM3OgCLcBGAs/s640/spellbinders-norine-borys-pretzelcards-1.jpg" width="640" /></a><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
For these cards today I used the <a href="https://www.spellbinderspaperarts.com/search.php?search_query=Twisted">stamp and die set called Twisted</a>. I die cut the pretzels from watercolor paper and colored them with my Faber Castell watercolor pencils then "painted" them with a water brush. I stamped the larger sentiment on a piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock and layered that over a coordinating patterned paper combo background, with nothing more than a Copic liner pen drawn outline. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-O5MItBqU7-Y/Wt7K9gN3O0I/AAAAAAAAOXE/XcYet5M-jXU0_wVW5Avxmuu5EaAKTuUOACLcBGAs/s1600/spellbinders-norine-borys-pretzelcards-2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1200" height="640" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-O5MItBqU7-Y/Wt7K9gN3O0I/AAAAAAAAOXE/XcYet5M-jXU0_wVW5Avxmuu5EaAKTuUOACLcBGAs/s640/spellbinders-norine-borys-pretzelcards-2.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
See those little salt chunks? I made those with a white Sharpie paint pen, dotting twice for extra vividity. (If that's not actually a word, it should be.) Then I took my 0.3 Copic liner pen and drew a little "C" under each flake to create a "shadow". </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Another thing I love about <a href="https://www.spellbinderspaperarts.com/search.php?search_query=perfect+match">this Debi Adams release</a> beside the clever puns, is the simplicity of the designs that push the cards in a very CAS direction. You've heard me confess before what a challenge CAS-styled cards is for me, and I had to slap my hands a couple of times before the cards were finished, when I reached for the enamel dots, or some coordinating twine. In the end I conquered those urges and I'm just delighted with the results!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-vBDmyp81tNk/Wt7K8Q-PjiI/AAAAAAAAOXc/c6xbdnMT6X0keLTuyomt_DS8JWHgI0i3wCEwYBhgL/s1600/spellbinders-norine-borys-pretzelcard-4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1200" height="640" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-vBDmyp81tNk/Wt7K8Q-PjiI/AAAAAAAAOXc/c6xbdnMT6X0keLTuyomt_DS8JWHgI0i3wCEwYBhgL/s640/spellbinders-norine-borys-pretzelcard-4.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
For this next card, I created the pretzel the same way as outlined above. I also stamped and die cut the mustard bottle from watercolor paper before coloring and painting it with the Faber Castell watercolor pencils and a water brush. I used the <a href="https://www.spellbinderspaperarts.com/nestabilities-classic-squares-lg-etched-dies/">Nestabilities Classic Squares dies</a> to cut an opening into a Neenah Solar White cardstock panel, stamped the sentiment below the opening and popped up both the cardstock panel and the pretzel and mustard with dimensional foam tape against a patterned paper background. And with Herculean effort, I left it at that! Yay, another point for CAS me!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I'm going to be back again soon with a few more cards to share, created with <a href="https://www.spellbinderspaperarts.com/search.php?search_query=perfect+match">Debi Adams stamp and die sets</a> and I hope you'll come check those out too! </div>

Hi friends, thanks for stopping by today! I'm up on the blog at <a href="http://loveisinthedetails.ca/blog/2018/05/02/hard-day-at-the-office/?preview=true&preview_id=17974&preview_nonce=1dedce4959">Love is in the Details</a> with another traveler's notebook layout! I think I'm having some trouble with how quickly these pages come together with a concise photo and memory combination, because I sit there after it's pretty much finished thinking, is this enough? Shouldn't it take longer? Should there be more? But I do love it!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-tgfsmO2rA-o/Wuk8UHZ_qAI/AAAAAAAAOeE/zu_U8pg9v_wEcz646TgyVzboCvht_rFmACLcBGAs/s1600/hard1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="850" data-original-width="850" height="640" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-tgfsmO2rA-o/Wuk8UHZ_qAI/AAAAAAAAOeE/zu_U8pg9v_wEcz646TgyVzboCvht_rFmACLcBGAs/s640/hard1.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The day I put this layout together was the day the experience was complete. Almost one year ago our little grandson had surgery to correct a condition called <a href="https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/craniosynostosis/symptoms-causes/syc-20354513">Craniosynostosis,</a> and since then, has worn a helmet for 23 hours a day, to shape his little head as it grew. But now he is finished. The condition has been corrected and he can move forward with growing and learning and getting cuter every day!</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-DA7fE6wt-UI/Wuk8VIgaRFI/AAAAAAAAOeI/x2Hq-EF5OpkK95f0P5V4xUpnGTTasVIkACLcBGAs/s1600/hard2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="850" data-original-width="850" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-DA7fE6wt-UI/Wuk8VIgaRFI/AAAAAAAAOeI/x2Hq-EF5OpkK95f0P5V4xUpnGTTasVIkACLcBGAs/s640/hard2.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
But on this day almost a year ago, it was a different story. It was SO HARD to see a little baby so confused and in pain! And hard to watch his parents hurt for him. There aren't very many scrapbook product lines that spell out the hard and unpleasant stuff, but <a href="https://www.pinkfreshstudio.com/pages/a-case-of-the-blahs">Pink Fresh's line A Case of the Blahs</a> does it very well!</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-OCxLXPYUONg/Wuk8XX6CPCI/AAAAAAAAOeQ/-NgoMFKdaBMMRPEJ8puHs7R28PU2B-JJACLcBGAs/s1600/hard3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="850" data-original-width="850" height="640" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-OCxLXPYUONg/Wuk8XX6CPCI/AAAAAAAAOeQ/-NgoMFKdaBMMRPEJ8puHs7R28PU2B-JJACLcBGAs/s640/hard3.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I used some of the paper from the Blahs line, as well as the alphabet and ephemera stickers and die cuts. And how perfect is the "home of the brave" puffy sticker from <a href="http://www.pinkpaislee.com/?p=53237">Pink Paislee</a> for a non-4th of July layout?!</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I added a typewritten strip to the title, riffing on the children's book titled <a href="https://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/alexander-and-the-terrible-horrible-no-good-very-bad-day-judith-viorst/1100238460#/">Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day</a>. And the UGH sticker. How many things in life need an UGH sticker!?</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Archie has grown so much and come so far in the last year and thankfully we can now say "it's all good and that's okay!"</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Have a wonderful day!</div>

Hello friends! Thanks for stopping by today for the Jane's Doodles blog hop! You should be arriving here from <a href="http://galachko.blogspot.com/">Galina Filippenko's blog</a>. If not, there is a list at the bottom of this post to help you find your way though the entire hop! We're showcasing the 3 most recently released stamps sets and they're all beautiful! We have a kitchen/baking set called <a href="http://www.janesdoodles.com/homemade/">Homemade</a>, a <a href="http://www.janesdoodles.com/magnolia/">Magnolia</a> florals set and set of worshipful sentiments called <a href="http://www.janesdoodles.com/bless-your-heart/">Bless Your Heart</a>. And today I have 2 cards to share that came from these 3 sets.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-jyBGhwCqxMQ/WuVLI3c8LCI/AAAAAAAAOdE/ekDX2c38_MQxaENs_iSA9iiUa7kzCAmfgCLcBGAs/s1600/bake1-1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1600" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-jyBGhwCqxMQ/WuVLI3c8LCI/AAAAAAAAOdE/ekDX2c38_MQxaENs_iSA9iiUa7kzCAmfgCLcBGAs/s640/bake1-1.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I love build-a-scene stamp sets and this is one of the cutest!! You could stamp, mask and stamp some more, as I did to create a scene like this one, or you could stamp each component individually, fussy cut them and assemble the pieces to create a scene.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-EASpsVOgB4Y/WuVLS0lQZoI/AAAAAAAAOdM/BOjn3DuoVZkl6RCAfhwWdyrylM5VHAMfgCLcBGAs/s1600/bake2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1600" height="640" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-EASpsVOgB4Y/WuVLS0lQZoI/AAAAAAAAOdM/BOjn3DuoVZkl6RCAfhwWdyrylM5VHAMfgCLcBGAs/s640/bake2.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I used my Arteza and Zig real brush markers to color the kitchen card, adding the striped wallpaper background and the stitching lines on the oven mitts. Once that was done, I die cut a circle opening from a piece of coordinating cardstock, mounted that with foam tape and positioned it so that the vignette was centered. I added the sentiment and some faux pen stitched lines around the circle, a few matching enamel hearts and decided that was good.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-kOHrLrvzEh4/WuVLux8NhDI/AAAAAAAAOdc/j4-jRQwulQ8cxqMUuJ9EY4An6YG3LjDIwCLcBGAs/s1600/bless1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1600" height="640" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-kOHrLrvzEh4/WuVLux8NhDI/AAAAAAAAOdc/j4-jRQwulQ8cxqMUuJ9EY4An6YG3LjDIwCLcBGAs/s640/bless1.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Next up is this card using the Magnolia and Bless Your Heart stamp sets. I started by stamping with Versamark onto vellum paper, heating with gold embossing powder and heat setting, then fussy cutting it all out. Then I stamped another random arrangement of blooms onto watercolor paper, with Versafine Onyx black ink and coloring and painting with a water brush before fussy cutting that piece as well.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-HJsMduTGHns/WuVL2aoPzXI/AAAAAAAAOdg/oVHQExoLoEcThEAnPzxzCOGK-c3o3SF9QCLcBGAs/s1600/bless2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1600" height="640" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-HJsMduTGHns/WuVL2aoPzXI/AAAAAAAAOdg/oVHQExoLoEcThEAnPzxzCOGK-c3o3SF9QCLcBGAs/s640/bless2.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I adhered the vellum piece to the patterned paper card front, then popped up the colored floral piece with foam tape before adhering it on top of the vellum. Next I stamped the sentiment onto more vellum paper, heat embossed with ink and white powder and die cut the sentiment into a circle shape that I adhered to the top of the floral bloom. Finally I added a few small gold heart embellishments.</div>
<br />

Hello friends! I'm popping in today to share the cards that I have up on <a href="http://butterflyreflectionsink.blogspot.com/">the blog</a> at <a href="http://butterflyreflectionsink.3dcartstores.com/">Butterfly Reflections Ink.</a> This is my final post for my term on the Design Team at BRI and I'm sorry to say goodbye, but hopeful that I'll get to post there again from time to time in the future.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ZkIkdNkOEO8/WuC_CbM__WI/AAAAAAAAObk/qxVxNh4bpdkdae2yNJ2-19pJDSLSGlA-QCLcBGAs/s1600/jude1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1600" height="640" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ZkIkdNkOEO8/WuC_CbM__WI/AAAAAAAAObk/qxVxNh4bpdkdae2yNJ2-19pJDSLSGlA-QCLcBGAs/s640/jude1.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Today's cards feature the <a href="http://butterflyreflectionsink.3dcartstores.com/Squirrel-Mail-Stamp-Set_p_13110.html">Squirrel Mail stamp set from Strawberry Jude</a> and the <a href="http://butterflyreflectionsink.3dcartstores.com/Focus-on-You-Stamp-Set_p_16443.html">Focus on You floral stamp set from Altenew</a> that I used to create a little flower bush at the base of the mailbox post. I love building scenes with stamp sets and this one went together beautifully!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I stamped with the Copic-friendly Simon Says Intense black ink and colored everything but the background with Copic markers. For the background I cut a foreground/background mask and blended with <a href="http://butterflyreflectionsink.3dcartstores.com/search.asp?keyword=distress+oxide&search.x=0&search.y=0">Ranger Distress Oxide inks</a>. To further delineate that line, I added some grass lines with a <a href="http://butterflyreflectionsink.3dcartstores.com/5-Black-Multiliner-Pen_p_3848.html">Copic Multiliner pen</a>.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-jxzme8gSGv0/WuC_It7dOAI/AAAAAAAAObs/VuEfCaejuskitG0Rda-G449o2h1eucRLwCLcBGAs/s1600/jude2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1600" height="640" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-jxzme8gSGv0/WuC_It7dOAI/AAAAAAAAObs/VuEfCaejuskitG0Rda-G449o2h1eucRLwCLcBGAs/s640/jude2.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
As much as I hated to cover any part of Mr Squirrel's magnificent tail, I want to stamp the entire 2-part sentiment on a little banner for the front, and that is where it fit the best. To complete the card, I drew a pen-stitched line around the whole card front and then adhered it to a card base.</div>

Hello, hi!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I have a pair of cards to share with you today that are posted on the <a href="http://janesdoodles.blogspot.com.au/">Jane's Doodles blog</a>. I was inspired to make some Get Well Soon cards and these are what I came up with.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-QOGGymM0E_Q/WuFd9EMyOTI/AAAAAAAAOcg/X-G8HxuZivsPIImjiLteXLTYzbNId2W-QCLcBGAs/s1600/weather1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1600" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-QOGGymM0E_Q/WuFd9EMyOTI/AAAAAAAAOcg/X-G8HxuZivsPIImjiLteXLTYzbNId2W-QCLcBGAs/s640/weather1.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I used the stamp set from Jane's Doodles called <a href="http://www.janesdoodles.com/rain-or-shine/">Rain or Shine</a> and I did some basic paper piecing by stamping the umbrella and the rubber boots onto patterned paper and cutting them out. The plaid paper is from a 6x6" <a href="https://www.lawnfawn.com/">Lawn Fawn</a> paper pad and the grey floral is old Bazzill Basics stash.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-cCB_2fJkzMc/WuFd7ukcUsI/AAAAAAAAOcc/Xj5tCApjW68MMMKC5FoVXvOxr8X9tn4hQCLcBGAs/s1600/weather2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1600" height="640" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-cCB_2fJkzMc/WuFd7ukcUsI/AAAAAAAAOcc/Xj5tCApjW68MMMKC5FoVXvOxr8X9tn4hQCLcBGAs/s640/weather2.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
One card is stamped on watercolor paper and the other is on Strathmore Bristol smooth cardstock, just to see the difference between how the Arteza Real brush markers behaved on the two different papers. (No significant difference).</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-cqJymRWwer0/WuFeEoRHujI/AAAAAAAAOco/x8M0Pc-jizUYIaN8k2lQcNRhd-qg1FGpgCLcBGAs/s1600/weather3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1600" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-cqJymRWwer0/WuFeEoRHujI/AAAAAAAAOco/x8M0Pc-jizUYIaN8k2lQcNRhd-qg1FGpgCLcBGAs/s640/weather3.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Because I had a specific phrase that I wanted to use on these cards, that wasn't included in this stamp set (or any other that I own) I created the sentiment on the computer, used a vintage typewriter font and printed it out on my printer. Easy peasy. I could have typed it on my own vintage typewriter but that would have meant some effort to pull it out that I didn't feel like making just then! Maybe next time.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Hi, hello!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I'm up on the <a href="http://loveisinthedetails.ca/blog/2018/04/25/buckling/">blog at Love is in the Details</a> today with the beginning of a Travelers Notebook I'm starting to work on. I wrote a lot more about the why's and wherefore's of it over there so be sure to click on over if TNs are of interest to you!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-3953RXGwn-w/Wt_W0yJAT2I/AAAAAAAAOYo/1U1Sda9hq_ggQrPbUNE19p-sA1EZsFm8gCEwYBhgL/s1600/stressed8.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="850" data-original-width="850" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-3953RXGwn-w/Wt_W0yJAT2I/AAAAAAAAOYo/1U1Sda9hq_ggQrPbUNE19p-sA1EZsFm8gCEwYBhgL/s640/stressed8.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I loved these two photos from our Grandson's visit to AZ last month and decided to do a page about them to start my Traveler's Notebook. (I don't plan to use my TNs as bullet journals, or for lists or writing as many do, but rather as a more portable form of memory keeping. I *may* attempt to make another travelers notebook into an travel/art journal to practice different art techniques, while in different places, but on the other hand that sounds really scary so I probably won't.) </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-LMfgXf-6qI0/Wt_WxSnb_WI/AAAAAAAAOYs/EmyuiRYl0Q8IDTACeerIZvxsNvIcf5AkgCEwYBhgL/s1600/stressed4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="850" data-original-width="850" height="640" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-LMfgXf-6qI0/Wt_WxSnb_WI/AAAAAAAAOYs/EmyuiRYl0Q8IDTACeerIZvxsNvIcf5AkgCEwYBhgL/s640/stressed4.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I purchased these three TNs from Ranger/Dylusions and I removed the stitching holding the books together, so that I could mix and match the patterned papers inside. <a href="http://loveisinthedetails.ca/blog/2018/04/25/buckling/">More about that over here</a>. To start with, I'm using the pretty pink and green notebook in the middle.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-OHRLGkWzkzw/Wt_WwsX09_I/AAAAAAAAOYc/lKiT2mVaUxoScTVeoLHPWZiObbsmgpZYACEwYBhgL/s1600/stressed10.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="850" data-original-width="850" height="640" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-OHRLGkWzkzw/Wt_WwsX09_I/AAAAAAAAOYc/lKiT2mVaUxoScTVeoLHPWZiObbsmgpZYACEwYBhgL/s640/stressed10.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-isLVquDjD_k/Wt_W1e3uZSI/AAAAAAAAOYs/ibiO8jTxmgE5gW1lR06PMBTVmWleY3dKgCEwYBhgL/s1600/stressed9.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="850" data-original-width="850" height="640" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-isLVquDjD_k/Wt_W1e3uZSI/AAAAAAAAOYs/ibiO8jTxmgE5gW1lR06PMBTVmWleY3dKgCEwYBhgL/s640/stressed9.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I typed the journaling on the computer in a Word Document text box and reprinted it onto a label sticker. I also did some repeat stamping with my huge Stampin' Up! alpha roller stamp, and layered up a journaling card with some chipboard and die-cuts.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /><a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-7aOey_eU6zw/Wt_yljDXSLI/AAAAAAAAOY4/hi9erf7XOhE1AFAunUnMytNjAymetMsAgCLcBGAs/s1600/4x8.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="800" data-original-width="1600" height="320" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-7aOey_eU6zw/Wt_yljDXSLI/AAAAAAAAOY4/hi9erf7XOhE1AFAunUnMytNjAymetMsAgCLcBGAs/s640/4x8.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
For the date banner, I painted on a scrap of watercolor paper in the approximate shape and size I needed, let it dry, then cut it out.</div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I'm really quite excited to adopt this new style of memory keeping - kind of like an ongoing mini album where one page has no resemblance to the next and there need not be any concern over chronology or cohesiveness! Completely without restrictions or rules! I think this could be really fun! Thanks for stopping by today!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Hello friends! Today we have 4 cards on a theme! This is my 3rd post for <a href="http://www.magentastyle.com/2018/04/guest-designer-norine-borys-artiste_23.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+magentastyle%2Flsgd+%28Magenta%29">Magenta Style</a> and I loved creating these cards. In fact I got a little carried away, as I sometimes do!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-8HvN2uQCtag/Wt4XE77xVHI/AAAAAAAAOWM/ZARt5pi0n_wDf_9zxAcFMTda1T2kmbCmwCLcBGAs/s1600/magbg1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1600" height="640" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-8HvN2uQCtag/Wt4XE77xVHI/AAAAAAAAOWM/ZARt5pi0n_wDf_9zxAcFMTda1T2kmbCmwCLcBGAs/s640/magbg1.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I began by stamping a square background stamp of flowers and leaves onto watercolor paper with black <a href="http://www.tsukineko.co.jp/english/detail/versafine/index.html">Versafine ink</a>, and heat embossing it. Then I colored the entire panel with <a href="http://www.fabercastell.com/art-and-graphic/artist-products/albrecht-duerer-artists-watercolour-pencils">Faber Castell watercolor pencils</a> and painted it with a water brush. I added the sentiment to the unpainted portion at the top, tied some black thread around to define the two parts and added some enamel dots to match the flower centers. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-LJyVtj8WR9k/Wt4XUscTveI/AAAAAAAAOWc/diCzQGWuuR0PBNM_k-PduJYpRgcJND4HwCLcBGAs/s1600/magbg4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1600" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-LJyVtj8WR9k/Wt4XUscTveI/AAAAAAAAOWc/diCzQGWuuR0PBNM_k-PduJYpRgcJND4HwCLcBGAs/s640/magbg4.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I repeated the techniques for this next card, but I used <a href="http://www.tsukineko.co.jp/english/detail/versamark/index.html">clear Versamark ink</a> instead and heat embossed with white embossing powder and then I used my actual watercolor paints to obtain this subdued, "antiquey" color scheme. Using the leftover paint, I added stripes at the bottom portion, stamped the sentiment onto vellum and layered the vellum with 3 more pieces of vellum to achieve the transparent look but conceal the adhesive. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-oNjrdWZ6KA8/Wt4XVE1NNBI/AAAAAAAAOWg/sodsNQgYRhw3KhJR3A0thVEU0nkkJYP_QCLcBGAs/s1600/magbg5.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1600" height="640" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-oNjrdWZ6KA8/Wt4XVE1NNBI/AAAAAAAAOWg/sodsNQgYRhw3KhJR3A0thVEU0nkkJYP_QCLcBGAs/s640/magbg5.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Card #3 is stamped with black Copic-friendly ink onto two panels of Neenah Solar White card stock. One panel I left plain and trimmed it down to 1/8" smaller than the card base on all sides. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-j7A7m8_zcl4/Wt4XcJ7Z_uI/AAAAAAAAOWo/7Zo-Qy1WvLs7oL5L3X-A_Gqnqy1HA4KsQCLcBGAs/s1600/magbg6.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1600" height="640" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-j7A7m8_zcl4/Wt4XcJ7Z_uI/AAAAAAAAOWo/7Zo-Qy1WvLs7oL5L3X-A_Gqnqy1HA4KsQCLcBGAs/s640/magbg6.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The second card panel I colored entirely with Copic markers and cut out the individual pieces with a pair of small precision scissors. Then I created arrangements with those fussy-cut pieces and adhered them to the black and white patterned paper above and some printed patterned papers below. In each case, the addition of a few matching enamel dots completes the cards.</div>

Hi, hello! Today I have these cards that I made for today's <a href="https://butterflyreflectionsink.blogspot.com/b/post-preview?token=pezX4WIBAAA.UlStIoBrKhuBzL6YevOo0VPjCEgeIesgkD2LT6KQDLDiK1S7Y2HsshTZRthmWmCfDsKD7aT6xoRlws-n3p-t0Q._DFFWFgErnfgYBJcNE3HXg&postId=1631184854826260332&type=POST">Butterfly Reflections Ink blog post</a>, and I'm sharing them with you here as well!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-S4GrpNwaMck/WtkLyyW30-I/AAAAAAAAOVo/JIAFKrxCsGwRfGoXeiqexPEERtHJOQK4gCLcBGAs/s1600/layrose1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1600" height="640" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-S4GrpNwaMck/WtkLyyW30-I/AAAAAAAAOVo/JIAFKrxCsGwRfGoXeiqexPEERtHJOQK4gCLcBGAs/s640/layrose1.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I used the floral layering <a href="http://butterflyreflectionsink.3dcartstores.com/Story-of-Us-Stamp-Set_p_14629.html">stamp set from Altenew called Story of Us</a> to stamp the flowers and leaves with my <a href="http://butterflyreflectionsink.3dcartstores.com/search.asp?keyword=crisp+dye&search.x=0&search.y=0">Altenew Crisp Dye inks</a>, particularly the <a href="http://butterflyreflectionsink.3dcartstores.com/Red-Cosmos-Mini-Inks_p_4496.html">Red Cosmos</a> and <a href="http://butterflyreflectionsink.3dcartstores.com/Tea-Party-Oval-Ink-Set_p_15565.html">Tea Party color sets</a> for the flowers and <a href="http://butterflyreflectionsink.3dcartstores.com/Frayed-Leaf-Dye-Ink_p_6689.html">Frayed Leaf</a>, <a href="http://butterflyreflectionsink.3dcartstores.com/Minty-Mint-Crisp-Dye-Ink_p_15556.html">Minty Mint</a>, <a href="http://butterflyreflectionsink.3dcartstores.com/Forest-Glades-Dye-Ink_p_5188.html">Forest Glade</a> and <a href="http://butterflyreflectionsink.3dcartstores.com/Moss-Crisp-Dye-Ink_p_10380.html">Moss</a> for the leaves.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-KzdsI_KMwHk/WtkLwpgj9XI/AAAAAAAAOVg/lv68uc_1W14o45iTl-r0717yrUR12FJwgCLcBGAs/s1600/layrose2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1600" height="640" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-KzdsI_KMwHk/WtkLwpgj9XI/AAAAAAAAOVg/lv68uc_1W14o45iTl-r0717yrUR12FJwgCLcBGAs/s640/layrose2.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I stamped twice with the <a href="http://butterflyreflectionsink.3dcartstores.com/Many-Thanks-Stamp-Set_p_15161.html">Many Thanks stamp from The Stamp Marke</a>t, first on the <a href="http://butterflyreflectionsink.3dcartstores.com/Gotta-Have-Gingham-6x6-Paper-Pad_p_15264.html">gingham</a> card panel and then onto the stamped flower itself. Then I layered the flower with foam tape to give some dimension. I felt the card was somewhat visually weighted towards the bottom left and I wanted to balance that a little better so I added a partial border of machine stitching with black thread and some black enamel dots to accomplish that.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ZNZM_SWXAos/WtkLyIjGXRI/AAAAAAAAOVk/xH-dukOVF4gCTAXv5CP1xtX-ofn9BVpIACLcBGAs/s1600/layrose3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1600" height="640" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ZNZM_SWXAos/WtkLyIjGXRI/AAAAAAAAOVk/xH-dukOVF4gCTAXv5CP1xtX-ofn9BVpIACLcBGAs/s640/layrose3.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
For the card above, I began by die cutting some white card stock with the <a href="http://butterflyreflectionsink.3dcartstores.com/Quilted-Backdrop-Lawn-Cuts_p_15255.html">Lawn Fawn Quilted Backdrop die</a> and layering it overtop of some matching colored card stock so it would show through the holes. The Thinking of You sentiment is 4 layers of card stock die cut using the <a href="http://butterflyreflectionsink.3dcartstores.com/Thinking-of-You-Die_p_15396.html">Altenew Thinking of You die.</a> I stamped all the layers of the floral stamp with the Tea Party ink series from Altenew and then fussy cut everything out, layering leaves and bloom under the sentiment. Once again, I added some machine stitching and black enamel dots to finish everything. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Thanks again for stopping by! Have a marvelous day!</div>

Hello friends and hi there! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I'm back from a recent vacation and I have things to tell you! Mr B and I flew off to Florida 10 days ago (because the beaches in AZ aren't as nice as the ones in FL) and after we'd sunned, swam, read and lazed, we headed to Tampa to meet up with some friends and then the fun really began! The Misters went off to look at all the airplanes at the 2nd largest Air Show in the US (we felt badly for them, knowing that our fun was so much funner than theirs), and the Misses took themselves to an art store, brushes in hand, chattering excitedly, for 2 days of art classes! The teacher, Joanne Sharpe, publisher of multiple art books, ambassador for Bernina sewing machines, holder of a Master's degree in Art Education and Extremely Creative Person, came all the way from Rochester, NY to teach 4 completely different classes, to groups of 15-30 students.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
People's thoughts and opinions on the subject of creativity are as varied as those people themselves. Some believe you have it or you don't. That it's a talent you're born with. I disagree. I wholeheartedly believe that everyone has some creativity in them. And, that with exercise and practice it becomes stronger and more useful. Like a muscle. I don't have as much creativity as flows from Joanne's pinkie finger; I haven't spent the years in the practice and pursuit of creativity like she has, but I do have a very strong "copying-to-learn-how" skill and enough of my own creativity to jump off the idea platform she provides, to make something different, unique and beautiful in it's own right.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-j0flqoKjWqo/WtbU4UkLExI/AAAAAAAAOU0/dzM6EZyy76U8kBuvfMvCshGOxR8q2DKuACEwYBhgL/s1600/create2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="637" data-original-width="850" height="478" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-j0flqoKjWqo/WtbU4UkLExI/AAAAAAAAOU0/dzM6EZyy76U8kBuvfMvCshGOxR8q2DKuACEwYBhgL/s640/create2.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
For the last year or more, I've been working one side of my creativity muscle (card making) and because it's been exercised frequently, it's grown stronger. But that's not the case for the other sides of my creativity. And some days that's been stressful and not very fun. Not to mention, lopsided. There are <b><i>many</i></b> ideas for ways to jumpstart your creative mojo, from browsing Pinterest (my personal fave), to cleaning your craft table and rediscovering things you'd forgotten you had, to sorting and purging supplies to shopping for <b><i>more</i></b> supplies, to reading a magazine or going for a walk. But last weekend, I discovered and re-ignited a passion for creating that had been missing for a long time, by attending those 4 art classes. On vacation. With a friend. In FLORIDA forcryingoutloud!! If my mojo couldn't show up for <b><i>that</i></b> party, there was no hope!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>

<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-E6ibcfWMafI/WtbU7o9JzFI/AAAAAAAAOU8/754pxiusx6cKki123A02EM10Y0mEL2DFQCEwYBhgL/s1600/create5.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="638" data-original-width="850" height="480" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-E6ibcfWMafI/WtbU7o9JzFI/AAAAAAAAOU8/754pxiusx6cKki123A02EM10Y0mEL2DFQCEwYBhgL/s640/create5.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Here is a glimpse of what I came away with after two days. I have a pretty, watercolored painting where I learned how to see the negative spaces and paint them. And a small (not very good) landscape painting. I have a fabric, quilted and decoratively sewn journal cover. And the start of a wildly painted quote book. Not everything is finished, or display-worthy, but every one of these projects helped to re-ignite a passion (for color, if nothing else!) and fuel a fresh excitement and burst of creativity that I welcomed with open arms!</div>
