Jane's Doodles Wreath Card....

Hi, hello!

It's my turn on the Jane's Doodles blog today and I have this card to share!

This is not a card you'd look at and think right away, oh, I know this stamp set!  It's a set called Smile, and it features a crocodile, a macaw, a frog, a snake, a waterlily, cattails, AND two flowers and two leaves stamps - all drawn in the cute Jane's Doodles style!  So I created this card just using the flowers and leaves.

I started by tracing the outline of a circle onto my watercolor paper, stamping the 4 images several times on masking paper and cutting those out to help me build the wreath shape and then to mask with when I started stamping.  I used watercolor-friendly Versafine Onyx Black ink to stamp with, and then painted in the images and the background with watercolor paints.  The sentiment is from the Bless Your Heart stamp set.  To finish, I squeezed Tonic Nuvo drops onto the flower centers.

Thanks for stopping by an have a wonderful day!

  1. Hi Norine!
I love this card! It was very creative of you to use the stamps in such a different way! Smart thinking! I love how it has a nice soft watercolor look!
