Paper Lanterns
I love paper lanterns. How could I not, all white, and light and airy and...papery. And paper lanterns with a bit of adornment....well, even better!!
Using my Silhouette Cameo I cut several different sizes and styles of flowers and butterflies and then began layering them together. The butterflies are machine stitched with the threads left long to resemble antennae.
To assemble the whole works, I just plugged in my trusty hot glue gun and glued it all down. I had some green leaf ribbon given to me by a friend years ago, and saved for just this special project! I wound it through the flowers and butterflies, and tacked it with hot glue in a few spots.
Of course one wasn't enough, so I made another combining with some satin melted flowers in subtle, pale colors. Here's how they looked hung up.
Thanks for stopping by again today!!
