Merry & Bright....

Hello, hi!

If you've come for the Jane's Doodles blog hop, just scroll on down to the next post!

Its Feature Friday again at Concord & 9th!  I know, already, right?!
This week we're showcasing the Ornamental Stamp and Die set, part of which is that honkin' merry & bright stamp.  I also used the Merry die, which you can get for FREE with a $60 purchase.  Which isn't hard, trust me.  Too much cute!!

For this first card...oh yeah, I also used the Plaid Background stamp set!  I love that it has the line stamp separate from the broad stripes stamp.  So, for this first card, I stamped the card base with the broad stripes set (who has an anthem running through their brain now?) and Stampin' Up's Soft Sky ink.  Then I stamped and heat embossed the thin lines with silver embossing powder.
I also stamped and heat embossed the sentiment with silver embossing powder onto vellum.  The bitty holly and pine bough stamps are stamped onto white cardstock and colored with Copics, then fussy cut and adhered to the sentiment piece.

For the second card, I used the middle portion of the Ornament die because I loveloveLOVE that "Nordic" design so much.  The actual die only cuts one snowflake in the center and two halves on each end but some simple aligning of die and paper lets you cut a whole row.
I also die cut the Merry word from cardstock three times and layered them up and then popped up the white card front with dimensional adhesive to let the teal card front below show up with a lovely shadow.  That Christmas stamp and ribbon banner die is from the Christmas Cheer Turnabout stamp and die set that we used last week.  I just couldn't not.  And of course no card is complete without a few judiciously placed Nuvo drops.

Thanks for stopping by (TWICE) today!
