Butterfly Reflections Ink...

Hello friends!  I'm popping in today to share the cards that I have up on the blog at Butterfly Reflections Ink.  This is my final post for my term on the Design Team at BRI and I'm sorry to say goodbye, but hopeful that I'll get to post there again from time to time in the future.

Today's cards feature the Squirrel Mail stamp set from Strawberry Jude and the Focus on You floral stamp set from Altenew that I used to create a little flower bush at the base of the mailbox post.  I love building scenes with stamp sets and this one went together beautifully!

I stamped with the Copic-friendly Simon Says Intense black ink and colored everything but the background with Copic markers.  For the background I cut a foreground/background mask and blended with Ranger Distress Oxide inks.  To further delineate that line, I added some grass lines with a Copic Multiliner pen.

As much as I hated to cover any part of Mr Squirrel's magnificent tail, I want to stamp the entire 2-part sentiment on a little banner for the front, and that is where it fit the best.  To complete the card, I drew a pen-stitched line around the whole card front and then adhered it to a card base.
