Papertrey May BlogHop Challenge - Aqua & Melon

It's a popular color combo these days and one I've gravitated towards often recently.  Today, Papertrey Ink is hosting a bloghop showcasing these colors and their products through the creativity of their customers!  Here are a couple of cards I made using this combination of aqua and melon, and using Papertrey stamps.

For this card I used the Feather Finery Stamp Set with Melon Berry Ink and silver embossing powder.  The sentiment is from the Signature Greetings Stamp Set.
(And no, I'm not happy with the match between the watercolor paper and the card stock card base.  It looked like a match in the store, and in the scrap room….outside, not so much.  And yes, I'll probably take it apart and match it up with something better before I give it away.)

This card uses the Papertrey Ink stamp set Quilled Elegance,  white heat embossed over top of the aqua watercolor wash.

I used watercolor paint to tint the white Prima flower to melon as well.

Thanks for stopping by today and enjoy the rest of the blog hop!

  1. Wow. Was drawn in by the first card and then wonderfully surprised by the second too. Both very lovely. I love the touch of dry embossing on the first. And that sentiment on the second.
