Happy National Scrapbooking Day!

Welcome to my little corner of the world!  I thought I'd show you what I've contributed to the inspiration that is everywhere on this day that unites scrappers worldwide.  We've got some challenges listed for you over at Love is in the Details.  You can make cards, layouts, or alter stuff.  And even better?  Play along with us and you'll have a chance to win some pretty sweet prizes!!

Here is the layout I've created for a challenge to use as many elements on a layout as I've listed.  There are 10, and I've used them all on my layout.  You must use at least 3, but any more than that are optional.  Of course, your chances of winning increase with every additional element incorporated.  Here are the 10 elements:
1) A grid or row.
2) Kraft or naked chipboard
3) Tearing
4) Die cuts
5) Rub ons
6) Stars
7) Ink splats
8) Layering
9) NO cardstock
10) Word or phrase stickers

Next, I have a card challenge for you to use your punches or dies.  Cover the front of a card with an assortment (or a single) of die cuts.  Then cover the entire card front with a piece of vellum and build you card upon that.  Add a sentiment and embellishments and use those elements to conceal the adhesive that holds the vellum to the card front.  Here are a couple of examples:

Lastly, I have an altering challenge.  I chose to repurpose an old globe for a decor piece with an updated look.  The globe ball was entirely covered with black spray paint and then I lightly penciled in the sentiment "Meet me at the edge of the Sea". (It's for my daughter and that's the sentiment she chose.)  I used a basic white acrylic paint and painted in the words 2 or 3 times for good solid coverage.

I hope you'll join us over at Love is in the Details, to be inspired, to create, to link up your work and perhaps even to win something!!  Check the blog there to see more challenges as well as the prizes for each.
