More brown paper packages....

Hi there!

I'm back today to begin a series of daily blog posts showing you some easy and inexpensive ways to decorate simple lunch bags and plain Dollar Store paper bags for gift giving.  I'm posting them over on the blog at Love is in the Details as well.  I've created this gift bag with the thought of holiday gift-giving in mind but as you can see, it would easily do for birthdays or any other special occasion.

Today's gift bag began life as a lowly paper lunch bag.  I started by stamping a flourish along the right hand side, heat embossing it with white powder and then sponging more Versamark ink through the holes of a polka dot stencil.  And more white heat embossing.

I used an edge punch to decorate the top of the bag, fastened the bag closed with some adhesive backed crocheted ribbon, and embellished the top of the bag with a paper doily, a ribbon rose, some leaves and a stamped tag tucked in among the leaves.

With the exception of the punch, all the products I used for this project are shown above.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Be sure and check back tomorrow for another brown paper package!
