A hard day's night....

Hi friends, thanks for stopping by today!  I'm up on the blog at Love is in the Details with another traveler's notebook layout!  I think I'm having some trouble with how quickly these pages come together with a concise photo and memory combination, because I sit there after it's pretty much finished thinking, is this enough?  Shouldn't it take longer?  Should there be more?  But I do love it!

The day I put this layout together was the day the experience was complete.  Almost one year ago our little grandson had surgery to correct a condition called Craniosynostosis, and since then, has worn a helmet for 23 hours a day, to shape his little head as it grew.  But now he is finished.  The condition has been corrected and he can move forward with growing and learning and getting cuter every day!

But on this day almost a year ago, it was a different story.  It was SO HARD to see a little baby so confused and in pain!  And hard to watch his parents hurt for him.  There aren't very many scrapbook product lines that spell out the hard and unpleasant stuff, but Pink Fresh's line A Case of the Blahs does it very well!

I used some of the paper from the Blahs line, as well as the alphabet and ephemera stickers and die cuts.  And how perfect is the "home of the brave" puffy sticker from Pink Paislee for a non-4th of July layout?!

I added a typewritten strip to the title, riffing on the children's book titled Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day.  And the UGH sticker.  How many things in life need an UGH sticker!?

Archie has grown so much and come so far in the last year and thankfully we can now say "it's all good and that's okay!"

Have a wonderful day!
